Okay so today’s post was brought forth by two events: A.) the XXL cover showing the top 10 freshmen in the game:

and B:) John Forte being pardoned by President Bush and scheduled for release on Dec.22nd. So after seeing these two things I got a little nostalgic and remembered seeing a special roundtable a little over 10 ten years ago which had the aforementioned John Forte, Mic Germino, DMX, Mos Def, Big Punisher(Peace) and Canibus discussing pretty much everything with host a very young Toure. Looking back ten years these were the next class of freshmen in the game and the camaraderie between these emcees really impressed me,unfornately their careers didnt reach the level of success that we once imagined and Big Pun’s died far too young but take a look back with me and remember that freshmen class as we embrace another one.
